New glasses not miss blue

Filter in the glasses is designed to treat attention deficit syndrome with hyperactivity (SDVG). Scientists from the University of Kerrola John (John Carroll University) set up the glasses, impermeable to blue light. The new invention is designed for people suffering from insomnia, postpartum depression and seasonal. The use of glasses helps regulate circadian rhythms, failure of which plays a role in the development of SDVG and other disorders, say developers.

Therapeutic glasses selectively delayed blue light by stimulating the formulation «hormone sleep» melatonin. In normal conditions, this hormone is produced only in the dark. However, when putting on glasses for two hours before going to bed, you can start the pre-formulation of melatonin, did not turn off the light, and continuing daily activity, the scientists showed, under the leadership of Richard Hanslera.

According to researchers from the University of Toronto, an earlier formulation of melatonin results in significant improvement in symptoms SDVG. Moreover, while improving the quality of sleep and to alleviate symptoms of depression, say scientists. As an alternative to glasses, researchers suggest using the filters on the lamp, not transmits blue light. The latter cost is cheaper - about $ 5 per bulb, while the glasses would cost about $ 50, told the developers.
