Extra weight in babies increases the risk of obesity and various diseases

Infants who have received a lot of excess weight, is likely to continue to be obese, which points to the importance of food preferences from early childhood, the researchers reported. U.S. scientists conducted a study that examined data on 559 children aged from six months to three years. Almost one in ten children suffering from obesity to three years. In children whose birth weight was highest, and those who gained most weight of up to six months, the risk of obesity before the age of three grew by 40%. Obesity at the age of three does not mean that people will be obese in adult life, but the risk increases, and also increases the risk of various diseases: diabetes and diseases of cardiovascular system, the researchers reported. Experts advise parents to include responsibility for feeding the child and do not overfeed him, as well as to recognize the presence of excessive weight problem and fight it. In recent years the U.S. has doubled the number of children suffering from obesity. This issue has reached national proportions. The same trend is observed in many other countries, said experts.
