Strict diet leads to the formation of blood clots

Meals on grapefruit can lead to amputation of lower limbs. Women who adhere to strict grapefruit diet, developed American scientists. Washington doctors claim that a diet based on grapefruit, combined with birth control pills caused a severe impact from the 42-year-old woman.

UK expert stressed that this was an unusual case, but in his view, the strict diet can lead to unpredictable consequences. In November 2008, a woman brought to the emergency department. The day before, she went into a long car trip, after which I felt severe pain in the left leg ankle. When she was taken to the hospital, she had difficulty walking, shortness of breath and dizziness.

Shortly before the incident, the patient sat on a strict diet, which included 225 grams of grapefruit every morning, and previously the woman consumed very little fruit. After the ultrasound, doctors found a large blood clot that can lead to gangrene and loss of limbs. The woman had the necessary assistance and to prevent severe consequences. Specialists believe that strict grapefruit diet has provoked the emergence of a blood clot in leg vein women.
