Doctors from the University of Oregon Health and Science found that regular exercise enhances mental development. The work was carried out in primates, 24 monkeys were used. The scientists explained their choice of topics that they wanted to eliminate the influence of factors such as smoking, alcohol and obesity. The animals were divided into three groups. The first group trained at the track, five days a week for 20 weeks. The second group were not subjected to physical stress. The third group trained for 20 weeks, and then restrict their mobility. Then the researchers evaluated the volume of capillaries in the brain of animals from all three groups.
Head of research group, also said Judy Cameron, physical exercise may lead to a greater ability to concentrate and it's another important reason to make people pay more attention to sports.
