German scientists found that the use of two grapefruit a day reduces the inflammatory diseases of the mouth. Doctors from the Friedrich Schiller University invited 58 smokers and nonsmokers people with chronic gum disease. Two weeks later it was found that in both groups increased the level of vitamin C and decreased bleeding gums. And smokers have it though and doubled compared to the initial reading, but still was lower than that of nonsmokers. It is known that the level of vitamin C in smokers by an average of 29 per cent lower than that of nonsmokers.
The study confirmed that the prevention of inflammatory diseases of the gums is an adequate content of vitamin C. Because it is impossible to stock, it is better to regularly use products that are rich in this valuable vitamin. The content of vitamin C in grapefruit is 92.5 mg, which is why it is so useful.
